What the best sports traders are holding
Polymarket publishes its most profitable sports traders and every position they hold, because trading there happens on a public blockchain. We match their positions to today's games every 15 minutes. These are real-money bets, not posts, so nobody can delete the losers.

- Sharp
- A bettor or trader with a long, proven record of winning, usually by betting before prices move. A casual bettor is called a square.
- Whale
- A trader placing a very large bet. We flag every single Kalshi trade of $2,500 or more on today's games.
- Example: $40K traded on the Nets at 52¢ = a whale backing the Nets.
- Following (tailing) a bet
- Making the same bet a sharp, whale or capper made: back the same team, ideally at the same price or cheaper. The opposite is fading them.
- Entry price (avg entry)
- The average price a trader paid for their position. If the price is higher now, they're already up on paper, and following them costs you more than it cost them.
- Yes / No
- Every Kalshi contract has two sides. Buying Yes on "Nets win" bets the Nets win; buying No bets they don't. So a big No on one team is really a bet on the other team.
- Polymarket
- A prediction market like Kalshi. Polymarket US is the app US users can sign up for. The top-trader leaderboard comes from Polymarket's separate international exchange; prices are usually close.
